Creating Meaningful Impact

Voice of Dagoretti is a youth-led Non-profit organization dedicated to working with youths from the different wards of Dagoretti. Together we create informative, educative and entertaining skits, plays and mimes made to educate the community on topics like teen pregnancies, Gender Based Violence, the importance of peace before, during and after elections, and more.

This approach allows us to create a more holistic change within our society and raise awareness on various emerging issues in our community as we come up with possible solutions. We also conduct outreach programs to ensure that the people of our community have access to any available opportunities.

Co-founder- Director of V.O.D

John Mwangi

John is a dedicated champion of women's rights, youth empowerment, and the transformative power of art for social impact. With a background in community development, he has collaborated with numerous NGOs within and beyond Kenya.

Anne Njeri

With a certificate in hospitality, Anne is dedicated to aiding vulnerable girls within the community. Her daily efforts revolve around promoting the empowerment of young women. Beyond her professional role, Anne finds joy in dancing, acting, and playing football during her leisure time.

Phelister Amondi Awuor

Phelister is a passionate advocate for mental health. As well as a skilled blog and article writer, and an actress. With a diploma in community development and over four years of experience in advocacy work, she actively volunteers with the youth of Dagoretti. Her personal interests include nature, novel-reading, singing, and outdoor exploration."

Derick Sajir

Derick Sajir is a dedicated community advocate with three years of community development experience, as well as a mental health champion, musician, stand-up comedian, and seasoned actor with an unwavering belief in the power of youth-driven change.

We advocate for the members of our community, especially youth and young adults.

OUTREACH

We conduct outreach programs to help raise awareness on various issues, educate the public and ensure that our community has access to the available opportunities.

EDUCATION

We educate our society on various critical matters like sexual reproductive health, mental health, and more.

EDUTAINMENT

We create informative, educative and entertaining skits, plays and mimes. We have tackled topics such as teenage early pregnancies, GBV, importance of peace before, during and after elections, and more.
